Control Panel

The Control Panel of Amapi 3D provides fast access to common scene management tools.

The Scene Manager

A tree-graph utilitiy that helps you to manage the scene hierarchies. It also provides an intuitive way to use layers, textures and grouping.

Hidden Faces/Visible faces

A toggle between hidden/visible face settings.

Change Point of Origin

Allows you to establish a new origin point for the scene.

Perspective/Plan

Toggle modes.

Zoom in/Zoom out

Same function as the "3" and "." of the number pad shortcut keys.

Trackball

Same function as the keyboard arrows. Allows you to turn around the scene.

Move the Scene

Same function as the Option+keyboard arrows on Mac, or Control+keyboard arrows on PC. Pan the scene.

Zoom Extent

Puts the entire scene contents into your viewport.

Zoom window

Zoom a region.

Point of view

Defines a point of view (a camera).

Hide

Hide (do not render) the selected object.  The object is still in the scene, just not rendered.  This is helpful in working with complex scenes.

Un-Hide

The reverse of Hide, this makes hidden objects visible again.

Group

Group the selected objects.

Return to the Top


Ungroup

Ungroup the selected objects.

Measure

Allows you to measure an object, or a distance, from any point of the scene. It is particularly useful for architectural models, CAD models, or for modeling to precise measurements.

Textures editor

Info

Give information of the current object and allows to clean coplanar faces, etc... The Info dialog can also be activated by double-clicking on the object.
